Scholarship for Academic Excellence & Community Impact

We are the Lovely Ladies of Upsilon Kappa Delta,

Multicultural Sorority Inc. Beta Chapter at

San Diego State University.

 

We are offering this opportunity to high school seniors in the county of San Diego facing economic hardship who have demonstrated academic dedication, community involvement, and resilience in overcoming challenges. This scholarship aims to support students pursuing higher education and making a positive impact in their communities. You can learn more about our sorority below.

APPLICATION 

Scholarship Award Amount: TBA

 

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Be a high school senior in the county of San Diego graduating in Spring 2025

  • Be a student experiencing economic or personal hardship (e.g., financial hardship, first-generation college student, etc.)

  • Have a minimum GPA of 3.0

  • Provide proof of college application or acceptance

 

Application Requirements:

  • Personal Essay (500-700 words) addressing:

    • Your personal experiences and challenges related to education

    • Your educational and career aspirations

    • How you plan to make an impact on your community through higher education

    • Your commitment to multiculturalism, community service & extracurricular activities

  • Proof of College Application or Acceptance Letter

  • Unofficial High School Transcript

  • One Letter of Recommendation (from a teacher, counselor, mentor, or employer)
